Vietnam's ministry of industry and trade has launched an investigation into the dumping of cold-rolled rolls imported from China. The investigation was launched at the request of domestic producers. Domestic producers in Vietnam believe that Chinese imports of cold-rolled coil have started dumping at low prices in the Vietnamese market. Many domestic producers believe the dumping is the main cause of serious damage to Vietnam's steel industry.

According to the law, after launching the investigation, the investigation department will send questionnaires to relevant parties to collect information and evaluate the suspected contents, including: dumping by Chinese exporters; Vietnam rolling industry losses and dumping and cold-rolled steel industry losses between the causal relationship. Based on the preliminary findings, the ministry of industry and trade may take provisional anti-dumping measures to prevent the practice from continuing to cause considerable harm to the domestic manufacturing industry.
