The Polish government will consider building a nuclear power plant in the next 20 years

Poland made an important step this week to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution, China's nuclear power grid has learned.

Synthos, a company, began research on a small reactor jointly developed by Hitachi GM. The reactor has a capacity of only 300 MW, but this is sufficient to meet synthos's own plant power demand.

It is understood that the project is expected to be completed within ten years and the budget cost will be less than US $1 billion.

According to the International Energy Agency, Poland currently relies on coal and other fuels for power generation, and does not have its own nuclear power plant. In addition, the Polish government will consider building a nuclear power plant in the next 20 years, but financing is still an unsolved problem.

Data show that small and medium-sized nuclear power plants of private companies may help mitigate climate change. If these small reactors can be popularized, they will be of great help to countries that are particularly dependent on fossil energy for power supply.

There are costs to build and operate the plant, but companies can get rid of the public grid and those utilities. In the United States, it is not uncommon for large factories or servers to have their own power plants. They can sell the extra power back to the grid. As a result, small nuclear power plants may prove to be key to reducing industry's dependence on fossil energy. From CNNPN
